In a scenic valley of the Transdanubian Hills, near Szekszárd, this 87 ha system has a very large water surface.

The lakes are a valley-dam system fed by a seasonal watercourse. Valid water management permit; average depth 1.2 m. The water stretches more than 3 km and is 170–300 m wide.

One lake was fished out by drawdown in autumn; replenishment is due shortly.

There is little own shoreline; at one point two 0.8 ha rearing ponds adjoin.
